Had some fun today making an Charley Harper inspired illustration of an Eastern Bluebird.

Charley Harper was a Cincinnati-based American Modernist artist. He was best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints, posters and book illustrations. I'm working through the Charley Harper Sketchbook: How to Draw 28 Birds in Harper's Style. I fell in love with his illustrations during a visit to Ithaca, New York–home of the Cornell Institute of Ornithology.

I created the artwork in Adobe Illustrator, exported an SVG and optimized it online at SVGOMG by Jake Archibald.
